matthew and the hanky, originally uploaded by printtroll.

Matthew has put his hanky in the mail for me. It is coming from Seattle so I should see it sometime in the middle of this week. Matthew and I met in Seattle when I was having a show at a funky hole in the wall gallery called Site Gallery, it was really an extension of my friend John Grade’s studio. At any rate Matthew and I became close friends and I joined a, now defunct, coop gallery that he had helped found called Oculus. It was through Oculus that I became aquinted with the Seattle art scene and where I met my connection from Nordstrom’s who ended up perchasing work from me over a year and half period.

Matthew and I have remained friends through being three thousand miles away for the last six years and continue to chat art and encourage one another when needed. I am excited to receive the hanky and to embroider a sporozoan on it and even more excited to get a picture of Matthew blowing his nose with it.

The troll preparing.

The darkness is everpresent and the chill of failure rides strong on the trolls back. He studies the strips and searchs for his future in them. They send no message back except to continue seeing. He feels her close to him her gaze judgemental and always fickle. The bottom feels close and yet his toes still are not touching.
